Whether with or without a lift, a few boxes, or a whole house, from the ground floor to the 24th floor, grand piano, safes, or music systems – we plan, pack, disassemble, unpack, assemble, install, hang up pictures and furnish, do minor manual work and dispose of it for you.

On the moving day
Experienced movers will greet you at the appointed time and ensure a smooth moving day. No matter what work is planned, we are well equipped and bring specialists such as handyman as well as suitable aids such as rollis, stair armor, furniture lifts, cranes, modern vehicles etc.
After the move
As soon as everything has arrived in your new home, we will be happy to help you assemble the furniture or hang up pictures and mirrors. If there is any other manual work, such as repairs or adjustments to new or existing furniture, you are welcome to benefit from our handyman. He will set your requests professionally and correctly.
Does something have no place in the new home? No problem, we store your moving goods in a protected container (link storage). So you don’t have to get rid of your favorite pieces if it is too tight in the apartment. In our inexpensive warehouse we have enough space.
Insurance coverage
A comprehensive insurance package is included in our service. This guarantees that the move will be carefree for you – even in the event of a problem.
Despite the greatest care, something can always happen. That is why we have insurance cover against all risks that the insured goods suffer during dismantling, packing, transporting, unpacking, setting up, and assembling by employees of peyer bern or by a worker commissioned by us.
The insurance value is the replacement price for items of the same type at the point of departure, plus packaging, delivery, and insurance costs to the place of destination. The claim to reimbursement of the replacement value is, however, limited in time, calculated from the time of the new acquisition:

– Scratches, scrapes, and chafing if the packaging or stowage/loading is not carried out by peyer bern or an experienced packer from a third-party furniture forwarder/carrier
– Live animals, plants, jewelry, precious stones, pearls, money, postage stamps
– Securities, certificates, minted and unminted precious metals

Your entire cargo is insured up to a total of CHF 1,000,000.
Individual items up to a value of CHF 5,000, unless specifically stated.

At peyer bern you can agree on a cost ceiling. Everything is carefully checked in advance to determine the scope of work. Since this is not always easy, we can agree on a cost ceiling that will not be exceeded under any case. However, if the cost of the move is below the cost ceiling, we charge the actual costs.
That is very different and depends on volume, distance, access, floors, etc. We would be happy to inspect your apartment/house free of charge and without obligation in order to provide you with a detailed offer, including scheduling.
It depends on the goods being transported and the route. Every move is individual and requires a different lead time. While a sofa can usually be transported with an existing transport, moving an entire 5.5 room apartment needs a lead time of about 4 weeks for a moving company.
From spring to autumn the moving companies are usually busier than in winter. Therefore, it is recommended to contact the appropriate company as early as possible. Often you need time for any permits.
Yes, except for lamps. We are only allowed to disassamble them but not to reinstall them.
